"The style Imperial Russian Stout and the name Albert Le Coq are synonymous. In the early 1800's the Belgian A. Le Coq exported Imperial Stout from England to Russia and the Baltic area. This beer is dark espresso color with no head and a powerful aroma of figs, prunes, black cherries, dark chocolate, espresso, leather, burning wood, and pine needles. Upon warming, the flavor opens up still, sweet, soft, and silky. Juicy dark fruit and powerful espresso with a hop bitterness rising like a wave behind it all."
