"Keowee is a red wine barrel fermented and aged version of our 19 Mile Red sour ale with mulberries added. The ale was fermented using our house blend of native yeasts and local bacteria isolated by South Years Labs. After letting this rustic refined ale age for nearly a year it was blended with dried and fresh locally foraged mulberries and aged for another two months. The resulting red ale has a puckering acidity paired with juicy berry notes balanced by an oaky barrel character."
