"We’ve been working on this beauty for a while! The idea for a red wine-barrel aged stout started back during our first iterations of MexiCali, when we experimented with bourbon barrels. Obviously we know that the bourbon version grew wings (Pterodactyls.. wings… get it?!) but wanted to perfect the red wine one a little more before letting y’all taste it.
Using a rich stout base with hints of cocoa, we aged this beauty in red wine oak barrels for an unparalleled smoothness. You’ll get some hints of dark stone fruit but the real kick comes from the addition of rhubarb, which provides an eensy bit of tartness. We think you’ll love it just as much as we do."
