"So this is the Melchior, brewed in winter 2012. We have put it on sherry Pedro Jimenez barrels for 18 months. Then, in summer of 2014 we transferred the beer into four Makers Mark Bourbon barrels. Stayed in those until January 16, also around 18 months. The beer had a stunning 14% of alcohol. Due to tax things we had to blend it with younger Melchior (6 months in a Bordeaux barrel) to reach about 12% abv. I'm not a big fan of older beers, but this is really amazing!"
