AVL_BW_2016Asheville Beer Week is upon us! We’re hosting four events at the store this year and hope you will join us for one or all four!

Friday 5/27, 5-7pm
Boojum Brewery Tasting
Cost: NO CHARGE

The Boojum Brewery crew takes over the wee tasting room to kick off Asheville Beer Week! Featuring: Mur Raspberry Saison, Graveyard Fields Blueberry Coffee Portyer, Reward Pale Ale, King of the Mountain Double IPA.


Wednesday 6/1, 5-7pm

Brewmaster’s Tasting/Meet the Brewer with Don Richardson of Quest Brewing 
Cost: NO CHARGE

Meet Quest Brewing Brewmaster, Don Richardson, for a tasting of Quest Brewing beers hand-selected by Don himself from the Quest vault. Don has been in the beer industry for over twenty years, the majority as a brewmaster.  He has gained a stellar reputation in the beer industry for his award-winning beer recipes while he brewed at Boulder Beer Co. in Colorado and Cottonwood Brewery in North Carolina. Richardson’s ties to WNC beer run deep. (He’s the “King Don” behind Catawba Brewing King Don’s Pumpkin.)

Featuring: Golden Fleece Belgian Pale Ale, Smoking Mirror Porter, Ponce Cucumber Jalapeno Saison (World Beer Cup Gold Medal Winner 2016!), Barrel-Aged Elegast (Flemish-style Sour aged for 18 months)


Thursday 6/2 5pm Blind IPA Tasting Cost: $6/pp

Think you know your favorite local IPA? Come find out! We’ll have a blind tasting of TEN Asheville and WNC IPAs that you will rate yourself with us giving the big reveal at the end. If you can also guess which IPA is which, you get bonus points and the chance to win prizes at the end of night. Only one question remains: How well do you know your palate and local beer?
