Props to Mo Daddy’s

After the Stone tasting last night, we had tickets to see Lucinda Williams—who absolutely rocked the Orange Peel with her band Buick 6. But where to get quick(ish) food and a good beer in between? Love ‘em as we do, we can only eat so much Barley’s and Mellow Mushroom. Someone suggested Mo Daddy’s, the sister restaurant/bar/music venue next to Mamacitas and owned by the same person, John Atwater.
Nice little place. We dig it—a couple leather couches, nice bar area, and some blues on the stage. All that’s good, but why did we go? Stone Arrogant Bastard on tap. That’s right! As one of only three accounts in the city to currently have it on draft, we salute Mo Daddy’s for stepping up. The beer fondue was tasty with crunchy bread and the Kobe beef burger was to die for. So, check the place out this weekend if you have a chance.
FYI: Jimbo Mathus (formerly of the Squirrel Nut Zippers) is playing on Sunday night.
