The Southern Beer Society

While the argument of the lack of beer culture in the South continues to be discussed in other beer forums, our beer comrade in N’awlins, BeerBuddha, has taken matters into his own hands. He and a couple of friends have started a new regional beer forum, Southern Beer Society. What we like about this is that it keeps everyone from Virginia to Texas in one big group versus the usual split between the South-Atlantic and the “Deep South.” Honestly, that’s how the rest of the country sees us anyway, so why not? Right now it’s just a forum, but ultimately they hope to expand and become a voice for beer in the South. Cheers to that.

There is no tasting today. Instead, we’re updating the website and beer list which is quite the time-consuming project these days.
