At Thursday’s tasting, we’re going to do some fall and winter seasonals. Especially exciting is the debut of French Broad Brewery’s Wee-Heaviest, which will be available in 22oz bombers. This is the first bottled brew by French Broad and we’re proud to make it our featured beer for the remainder of November. Bottles arrive tomorrow.

Mahr’s Jubelfest
“The only true craft beers imported from Germany come from the tiny Mahr’s brewery in Bamberg. Jubelfest is like no other Oktoberfest beer—very deep and dark, with an unusually roasty, earthy, and complex character. …Mahr’s Jubelfest does not fit either the traditional or the modern mold, but it perfectly represents the true spirit of the season – a warm, rich celebration of the harvest, the beer equivalent of a big, overstuffed chair to settle down in.” [Marzen / 4.9% abv]

Weyerbacher Autumnfest
“Copper-amber in color, AutumnFest is made with Vienna and Munich malts for that authentic Bavarian taste. Each sip imparts roasted malt followed by a smooth finish. Wonderfully balanced with a clean, velvety, slightly fruity taste, AutumnFest is the perfect beer for the Fall—a nice transition between the lighter beers of summer and the darker, heavier winter brews.” [Marzen / 5.4% abv]

Heavy Seas Winter Storm
“With five different hops, this ale is pure hop power still perfectly balanced with a rich malt character. Floral and aromatic, the hop character is enhanced by the technique of dry hopping, a traditional method of increasing aroma.” [Extra Special Bitter / 7.5% abv]

French Broad Wee-Heaviest
“Wee-Heaviest is a kicked-up version of our popular Wee-Heavy-er with the addition of Belgian yeast.” [Belgian Scotch Ale / 9.0% abv]
