The brother- and sister-in-law are in town and we had them try the pumpkin ales last night. We sampled Brooklyn’s Post Road, Southampton’s Pumpkin Ale, Dogfish Head’s Punkin Ale, and Weyerbacher’s Imperial Pumpkin. Brooklyn and Southampton were the most sessionable with good flavor coming through—great for that first Fall get together. Dogfish Head had the most prominent pumpkin flavor. Weyerbacher gets props for tasting like pumpkin pie in a bottle, though. Fact.
