Picked up these juicy bits from a hijacked topic forum on Beerinator today. (We know that’s bad ‘netiquette’ but we love a good random tangent.)

Drew Barton, head brewer of French Broad Brewery, unveils a little bit of brewery news and answers a lot of questions about what is happening over there:

I will continue brewing Jonas’ beers to the recipes Jonas formulated.
I will be brewing many more seasonals, some of Jonas’ recipes, some of mine.

So far this year I’ve released a Bock and Kolsch of my own recipes, and released Jonas’ Belgian White.

The Kolsch was so popular we’ve brewed three times as much as we expected and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. It looks like we have another year around beer.

In the tanks right now, we have a Berliner Weisse and a Porter, both my own creations. And the Oktoberfest is lagering at the moment too. After that I will be releasing the Flanders Abbey again. I know there are some fans out there and it’s been awhile. But just wait a few more months. And after that I’ll have 2 or 3 winter-appropriate beers.

Well, hooray to that! If only we can convince them to start putting some of these others brews in growlers.
